Vancouver Magic

Thank you Vancouver for the warmest welcome possible! The past two weeks have been such an exciting experience for me. The days and nights filled with the best music, world class artists like Renee Fleming, my dear Dutch friends the Jussen brothers and musical soulmate Cedric Tiberghien. The orchestra musicians gave their very best resulting in magnificent concerts with many memorable inspiring solos. My wife Daphne and I were lucky enough to experience the Vancouver magic when the sun comes out (and enjoy the blessing of incredible sushi!). But above all, you, our audience, have given us such a great feeling of support and dedication to the VSO. I feel honored and privileged to be part of this great musical family, joining the VSO at the historical moment of starting the next centennial. Thankful for having found great friendship in one of the most vibrant and beautiful cities in the world, I wish for our journey together to be full of exciting and memorable musical experiences. The adventure has begun!
